It can occur as early as the first few weeks of treatment, and symptoms may last from four to five months.
“The risk of sudden vision loss in people taking tadalafil (the active ingredient in the Cialis brand) is low,” the article says, but it’s unclear whether the condition affects those who take it. “The condition has been known to occur in about 40 percent of the population.”
The FDA said it was not aware of the link between Cialis and the loss of vision in people taking the drug. The drug’s manufacturer, Eli Lilly & Company, has not commented on the risk. The article goes on to describe the condition as a rare and rare condition.

“This study shows that people taking tadalafil and retinal detachment are at higher risk of sudden vision loss than the general population,” the article notes.
The study also found that men who take tadalafil and have retinal detachment have a two to three-fold greater risk of sudden vision loss than men who don’t take the drug. The drug’s manufacturer, Eli Lilly, has not commented on the potential link.
The study also notes that patients with a history of retinal detachment should stop taking tadalafil, and that they should talk to their doctor about this issue.

Whether you can take Tadalafil at the same time as your other medications will depend on which medications you are taking.

• Seizure medication:- carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin and primidone
• Heart or blood pressure medication:- disopyramide, amiodarone, quinidine and procainamide
• Anti-viral medication:- telaprevir, atazanavir, retonavir, indinavir, saquinavir and cobicistat
• Recreational drugs:- amyl nitrate (poppers)
